There's nothing sweet about a crippling sugar addiction. 🧁❌

Hi Health Rebel!

How many times a week do you find yourself standing in front of the pantry looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth? If you count yourself among those who need your daily sugar fix—whether it's a bowl of ice cream, cinnamon toast crunch cereal, or a Dr. Pepper—you're definitely not alone.

In fact, according to the American Heart Association, the average American consumes 17 teaspoons of sugar every single day. To put it in perspective, that's equivalent to eating 1/3 cup of sugar every day. One third of a cup. Imagine that and let it sink in.

You probably know from these stats—and from personal experience—that sugar is addicting. But did you know that sugar can be even more addictive than cocaine? Yep, you heard that right. Sugar can be more addicting than cocaine, and with devastating consequences.

It’s not something we often talk about, because it is socially acceptable to be addicted to sugar. But we NEED to talk about it and that's why we're going to be diving deep into the realities of sugar addiction and what you can do about it on today's episode.
